Chester Recreation, the Chester Trails Team, and Conservation Resources held the inaugural hike of the year from 50 North Rd., to Seward’s Hill, to Highlands Ridge Park, and Evans Preserve. A group of almost 20 hardy hikers braved the hot, humid, hazy conditions to enjoy some of the most picturesque parts of Chester.

Our next guided hike is August 4th, 2012 at 9:30AM at Mt. Paul Preserve and Mt. Paul County Park.  Like all of the hikes in the series, it is free and open to the public.  This hike will be led by local Rutgers Professor Dr. John Puffer who will teach hikers about the unique geology in the Mt. Paul area.  Check the Chester Township and Chester Borough Recreation web pages soon to sign up.
