Adventures for Women
Adventures For Women, founded by Betsy Thomason, is a non-profit organization, one of the few “women only” outdoor clubs in the U.S. We are an eclectic organization that loves to explore and is equally at home in the woods, the suburbs, or the city. We pride ourselves on providing ample opportunities for women to empower, improve and define themselves.
Hunterdon Hiking Club
The Hunterdon Hiking Club (HHC) is an affiliated organization of the Hunterdon County Parks System. The purpose of the club is to provide a forum where individuals may join with others for the personal enjoyment of hiking and other outdoor activities.
Interstate Hiking Club
This spring the Interstate Hiking Club starts a series of about 20 hikes along the AT northward from Delaware Water Gap to RHP Cabin north of Fahnestock Park, NY. We will schedule this project over a four years span. The total mileage is about 140 miles, and we plan an award for those who complete all the sections.
New Jersey 1K Club
A website dedicated to peakbagging in the humble hills of New Jersey. The New Jersey 1K Club seeks to bring attention to the many hiking opportunities and challenges that the Garden State has to offer. New Hampshire has the AMC 4000’ers; the Adirondacks has its 46’ers; the Catskills and its 3500 Club. And now . . . New Jersey’s own peakbagging club: the 1K’ers.
University Outing Club
The University Outing Club was founded in 1931 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Professors, townspeople and their families were the
first members. Sharing a desire to be outdoors, they organized weekend outings, hikes, kayaking trips etc.
Today the club’s membership is open to the general public and all those who enjoy spending time outdoors, learning about their natural environment and taking excursions to nearby places of interest.
Wild Earth Adventures
We offer guided hiking trips year-round — as well as wilderness camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, and cross-country ski trips — visiting some of the wildest and most beautiful parks and natural areas in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, eastern Pennsylvania, and other northeastern states.
